Changes in Fatty Acid Levels during In Vitro Ruminal Fluid Incubation with Different Proportions of Maize Distillers Dried Grains (DDGS)

چکیده

This study aimed to analyse changes in the profile of long-chain fatty acids ruminal fluid cows during vitro fermentation, using different proportions maize DDGS (distillers dried grains with solubles) as a substrate. The serum bottles were filled 1 g concentrate feed (C), which consisted cereal middlings, postextraction rapeseed meal, and soybean meal. Substrates I, II, III contained same ingredients substrate C, but also included at increasing proportions, while IV only DDGS. Ruminal buffer was then added incubated for 4, 8, 24 h. After incubation, acid analysed gas chromatograph. use resulted decrease SFA, an increase proportion UFA, including oleic (C18:1n9c) linoleic (C18:2n6c). fermentation 15% 20% TMR proved be most beneficial. These findings suggest that byproduct bioethanol production could potentially improve fluid, resulting higher-quality animal products.

Biorefinery strategies for upgrading Distillers’ Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS)

20 21 Distillers’ Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) is the major by-product of bioethanol and distillery 22 plants. Due to its high content of proteins, water-soluble vitamins and minerals, DDGS has been 23 long marketed as animal feed for livestock. EU legislation on liquid biofuels could raise the 24 demand on bioethanol production in Europe, with a resulting increase in DDGS availability. 25...

Use of Constant or Increasing Levels of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) in Broiler Diets

A study was conducted to evaluate the use of constant or increasing levels of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) in diets for broilers. Diets were formulated for starter (0-14 d), grower (14 to 35 d) and finisher (35 to 42 d) periods to contain 0, 15, or 30% DDGS. Diets were formulated on digestible amino acid basis to meet current U.S. poultry industry nutrient levels and were mainta...

Variability of bulk density of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) during gravity-driven discharge.

Loading railcars with consistent tonnage has immense cost implications for the shipping of distillers' dried grains with soluble (DDGS) product. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate the bulk density variability of DDGS during filling of railcar hoppers. An apparatus was developed similar to a spinning riffler sampler in order to simulate the filling of railcars at an ethanol plant....

Productive Performance of Laying Hens Fed Different Levels of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles with or without Certain Feed Additives

The objective of this work was to evaluate the inclusion of distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) as substitution for soybean meal in Hisex Brown laying hen diets with or without enzyme or vitamin E supplementation on productive performance. A total number of 180 Hisex Brown laying hens at 26 weeks of age were randomly divided into 15 treatment groups in a 5 × 3 factorial design experime...

Inclusion of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles (DDGS) in Swine Rations

Introduction As the ethanol industry grows in Michigan and the U.S., so does the discussion about including distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) in swine rations. The DDGS byproduct has the potential to be a nutritious, cost effective replacement for corn, SBM and inorganic phosphorus. Much has been written about feeding DDGS recently in popular magazines and newspapers, including infor...
